Rose Garden Hotel

The staff are friendly and helpful, and most speak English. Breakfast is okay, with limited choices, though most things are freshly made. The location is great, right behind the Catholic Church, but the church bells start ringing every half hour from 6:00 AM. If you’re a light sleeper or need a quiet room, getting enough rest could be a challenge. The rooms are basic but fine. My bed slid to one side, so I didn’t sleep very well.

The little garden was great for the kids, and my family and I had a very pleasant stay. It’s a peaceful spot close to the centre, with clean rooms and great service. You can walk to all the attractions in Shkodra.

The pool area is outstanding, and the views are beautiful. It’s near the old castle, in an authentic-looking building with amazing room interiors. Breakfast was great. Definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed three nights at Rose Garden Hotel, and the garden-side rooms felt roomier, with larger beds, when we had different rooms at different points in our stay. The breakfast menu was excellent, and eating out in the garden among the roses was lovely. They also packed breakfast for us on our final morning when we left early. The hotel is near the popular pedestrian area but far enough away to avoid noise from the bars and restaurants. There’s someone at the front desk around the clock, and they let us leave our luggage for more than ten days while we walked the Peaks of the Balkans route.
