Guesthouse Pashko

Pashko and Vera are a wonderful, outgoing couple, and they make great snaps/raki. Pashko’s stories are worth hearing, so say yes when he offers you snaps. The guesthouse is ideally placed for hikes around Theth, and we’d choose it again if we return. Call them directly to book, since that saves the Booking.com fees.

The campground had a nice view and the grass was kept in good condition, but the rest of the place felt neglected and still under construction. We stayed one night and found the atmosphere strange. Only one shower had warm water, and it wasn’t even hot. Both showers also had broken mounts for the shower heads. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive the hospitality described in earlier reviews.

We ended up leaving for another hotel. There was no heating, the room smelled of sewerage and cigarette smoke, and the shower flooded. The owner was miserable, and the food was very basic. I’d avoid this place at all costs.

This was my second visit, after the first one in 2023, and I stayed again in 2025. The rooms were clean and tidy both times, with no other problems for me. The grass pitch is well maintained and works well for camping. Some areas have been renovated and the dining area has moved, though I preferred the guesthouse’s original setup. Soundproofing is poor, as others have mentioned. It was generally a nice stay, but the higher price means there are probably other places at a similar rate.
