Our last night in Theth ended up being a perfect one here. The views were amazing, and the staff had created a really cozy space. We waited a little longer than expected at first, though not very long, and the waiter noticed straight away and apologized because he thought we’d been waiting. After we ordered, the food and drinks came quickly. I had ordered the bean stew without realizing it wasn’t vegetarian. The waiter checked whether I was vegetarian and offered several times to prepare something else. In the end, my boyfriend and I swapped dishes, so I ate his byrek, which was the best I’ve ever had, and very fresh. He enjoyed the bean stew too. A perfect experience overall.

The garden tables were a great place to sit, with cats and a puppy providing some extra entertainment. We ordered village salad, vegetable soup, bread, stuffed eggplant, and sausages with potatoes. Everything was good, although the eggplant and sausages were the standouts. There was plenty for two people, so we were too full to try the slice of cake we had been eyeing. The total came to about 2600 lek/US$32. We were very pleased with both dinner at Villa Gjeçaj restaurant and the service.

Vjola, our server and hostess, made the stay especially enjoyable. She gave us helpful recommendations for the town and for our hikes. We really enjoyed the whole experience, would 100% recommend it, and would happily come back.

The stuffed eggplants were incredibly delicious and surprisingly cheap, almost like a steal, so I highly recommend them. The staff were warm and accommodating, and our food arrived quickly. While waiting, we could watch the cooks working from where we were sitting. The atmosphere was sweet too, with four cats sleeping in a stack on top of one another.

Silvan made my dad’s birthday really special. He organized the celebration, brought out the cake, and even sang the song. The Albanian bean stew and lamb were really delicious too. This was honestly the best service I’ve ever received. 🫶🏻
