A renovated apartment in a newer city building, fairly close to the center and clearly set up for rentals. It's a good place and deserves a recommendation. The owner is great. Parking can be a bit hard to find if you're driving.

I booked through Agoda, which caused a mess. This is a private apartment, so there's no sign on the building. Google shows a photo of a building, but that's a hotel in Downtown, not the Downtown Tirana Apartments. The pin itself is right, though. I spent an hour wandering around and couldn't find the entrance; passersby and residents couldn't help, beyond saying the building in the photo wasn't there. My first attempt to reach the owner failed because Agoda had given me fake details and an invalid phone number. Eventually the owner replied through chat, we met, and he showed me where I could park for free. He also showed me the booking on his phone. My details were fake too: according to him, I was listed as Albanian and living in Singapore, with the wrong phone number. The apartment is okay for one night, but Tirana isn't exactly the most worthwhile place to visit in Albania anyway.

It was small but had everything I needed, and I felt safe there. The room was cozy, very clean, and beautifully renovated, with modern coded door handles. Great spot right in central Tirana. I found no downsides.
