Eler Hotel

We were left standing outside with our luggage while the receptionist wandered around talking to other guests. There was no apology or solution, and he even tried to justify the situation by saying someone had once paid €70 for only three hours. That didn’t help us at all. After a 5-hour drive, we had checked into a supposed “Luxury Double Room” and woke up drenched in sweat because the AC was broken. The receptionist came up and confirmed it himself. He said the hotel was full and told us to open the windows, although they faced a noisy street with traffic all night. He was sweating too, but still expected us to sleep that way. When we asked for a refund so we could leave, he claimed the manager couldn’t be reached. We contacted hotel.com, and he only pretended to agree after they got involved. He then took their call privately, lied to them, and later told us “nothing happened.” hotel.com confirmed that he had refused the refund. The broken AC wasn’t his fault. His dishonesty, refusal to help, rudeness, and complete lack of decency were. This is a scam run by dishonest, unprofessional staff. Stay away.

The central location is a real plus, especially with a dream ice cream and cake shop just one block away. Rooms are well equipped, although the safe didn’t work and the built-in bed charger feels unnecessary. Breakfast is very basic. The fruit was unripe and impossible to eat, and getting a refill meant winning a shouting match with staff who wanted to charge for the tea bag. There was no green tea, lactose-free, or gluten-free option. The patio is lovely for breakfast before 9, but after that it gets too hot. The staff also don’t speak English.

The location is excellent, right in the center, and parking is available directly outside. The hotel was very clean, including our room, and the breakfast buffet was included. The staff were great and made us feel welcome, especially Armando and Valentina, whose hospitality was kind. Really nice boutique hotel, 10/10, I’d come back. Thank you very much!

I slept well on the solid mattress, and the room itself was clean. The bathroom was also clean apart from the socket in the shower cabin. Check-in was easy, and the location is convenient for the city center, though having a parking space right at the front would be useful. The room felt a little outdated. The small bedside lamps were flimsy, and the wardrobe doors were heavy and noisy to move. Breakfast was simple and limited, but enough for me. Since orange juice was the only drink at the buffet, it would have been helpful if the breakfast room staff had asked whether guests wanted something else. At checkout, an employee quickly went up to inspect the room before I had paid for my minibar use. Still, it was a good experience overall, with a few things that could be improved.
