Hotel Savana

We arrived for our 6 am reservation and were told there was a problem with it. They left us out on the street, and the man on reception, who was on duty around 7:06 am, treated us extremely badly. We were very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

I’ve been here for three nights for a conference, and the place has been great. The staff are amazing and will sort out any problem. Jana at reception especially deserves a raise. The rooms are clean and quiet, though you can open the windows, and breakfast is good. I’d give it six stars if I could!

Two months before my arrival, they confirmed the booking by email. Then they ignored it because I hadn’t prepaid, even though nobody had told me that prepayment was required. Thank goodness I managed to find another hotel two days before I arrived.

I’m writing from the coffee area after checking out, sitting with a book. The staff have been attentive throughout and clearly try to make guests happy. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and this morning they were asking guests what they wanted, including eggs and other snacks, to avoid wasting food. I really respect that. We wish we’d stayed here for our entire visit to Tirana. Highly recommend it. The wonderful woman at reception deserves twice whatever she’s being paid!
