Metro Hotel Tirana

The people made this stay in Tirana. Everyone was so welcoming, and the Albanian hospitality really stood out. We also got a breakfast bag from the friendly Metro Hotel staff for our four-hour bus ride to Kosovo. The room was excellent, and breakfast was very nice too. We’d happily come back. The team is the reason I’m planning a third visit. They’re warm and welcoming, the bar is well stocked, and the cleaning service is great. Breakfast is delicious and served at sensible hours, roughly 6am to 11pm, so there’s no need to get up at dawn. The location is great, and the beds are comfortable, with a dedicated workspace and good, fast internet. I’ve stayed here twice, and it’s one of my favourite hotels. I took off a star because a couple of small things didn’t match how spoiled I felt on my first stay. The hotel is still great, and the staff make it feel like it deserves six stars. Maybe next time it’ll earn the full 5/5.

We had a big room with a huge bed, and breakfast was really nice. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, with all the shops, cafes and bars you need close by. Thanks, I’d definitely recommend it.

Breakfast had plenty of good options, and the staff were kind, friendly and helpful. They even arranged an extra bed for my son without us asking, and the double bed was extra large. The hotel is very central, about a 10-15 minute walk from the main square. The one downside was noise from the stairs, since our room was right above them. My son and husband weren’t bothered, but if you’re sensitive to sound, you could ask for a room farther down the corridor. Otherwise, it’s really good for the money.
