We got a free late checkout until 4 PM, which was a nice extra, and public transport was easy to reach. It’s also just a short walk to the city center. Our family booked through Booking.com, and the stay was fantastic. The staff were exceptionally warm, the rooms spacious and clean, with daily tidying. Breakfast buffet was great and the food delicious. The pool was well cared for and suited families, including young children. I’d recommend this hotel without hesitation.

We booked two nights in August on the hotel’s official website, but when we arrived they said there was no reservation, even after we showed the confirmation email. They offered a room at 30% more instead of admitting the mistake, and did so with humiliating arrogance and no professionalism. At 10:00 p.m. they left us stranded, and we had to find somewhere else to stay that late. A shameful, disgraceful experience at a terrible hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The walk to the city center was easy, though the last street leading to the hotel felt a little scary. We came in the off season and were the only guests, but the staff still made us a very nice breakfast each morning and served it with a smile. They were kind and treated us amazingly, even if some had trouble with English. Overall, a very nice stay.

The pool and gardens are so peaceful that you’d hardly think you were in a city. The city center is only a 15 minute walk away. This family run hotel was fantastic, and I can’t thank the staff enough for making me feel welcome and helping with anything I needed. The rooms are a great size and super clean, and breakfast had fantastic, tasty choices. I’ll definitely stay at Orchidea again when I’m in Tirana.

The pool was filthy. We were told the kitchen opened at 1 PM, but then waited two hours for our food. When the chicken breast finally came, it was undercooked and inedible. The prices were high too, which made the disappointment worse since the meal didn’t meet even basic standards.
