Sky Hotel

The paid underground parking had extremely tight spaces, with building materials around. My room was on the 14th floor, and the two elevators were shared with 15 companies in the building, so the waits were long. The room itself was large, but the air conditioning was broken. They offered another room on the 1st floor above a very busy street. I turned it down because of the noise, and there were no other options or compensation. Sad service. Breakfast was the worst continental breakfast I've had. There was no self-service coffee machine, I waited half an hour for coffee, and the sausages were burned. This doesn't feel worthy of 4 stars.

I stayed here at the start of a bike tour with Cycle Albania, which sends the hotel a lot of bike travellers. Even so, the hotel treated bikes and anything related to them with disdain. They stored my bike bag, but got angry at my friend and me when we had the bag and bike in the lobby for just 2 minutes while getting organized to leave. It felt snobbish, especially for a hotel that isn't nice enough to justify that attitude. Our room had a glass window between the bathroom and bedroom, and the blinds didn't work, so there wasn't much privacy. When we told the staff, they showed no concern and didn't apologize. The service was terrible and unkind. I hope Cycle Albania takes its support elsewhere.

Friendly staff and comfortable beds, and the sky bar is fun. The new rooms are comfortable, but could use a few more modern conveniences, like a wardrobe, proper toiletries, and a shelf in the shower. The location is great.

The rooftop restaurant served a great breakfast, and the lobby bar made a good latte. The servers were great, and staff were very helpful during our stay. It's a great location, close to everything downtown, and the rooms have been renovated.
