Hotel Pogradeci 2

It's very clean and peaceful, and good value for the money, though it doesn't feel like a European four-star hotel. Breakfast was decent, with a few little things they could improve. I'd have given it five stars, but the Wi-Fi didn't work very well.

I needed to work remotely, and the internet was perfect. We enjoyed the balcony view, and the room was clean and well furnished. The receptionist was very kind, and we'd definitely recommend the hotel.

The room phone didn't work, and breakfast was very poor. There was a strong smell throughout the restaurant, and the quilts smelled of urine. We changed rooms during our one-night stay because of a moldy smell in all the rooms. Some had visible mold on the walls, while others didn't.

The lake-facing rooms have the best view, and the hotel is in a handy spot for visiting Drilon National Park and Tushemisht village across the lake. We came after summer, when it wasn't crowded. The rooms were nice and clean, and the quiet setting felt relaxing. The restaurant was pleasant and not expensive, with a full menu, though only some dishes are served at lunch and others at dinner. I wasn't happy with the restaurant service: one waiter missed an order even after I mentioned it twice, and another wouldn't take my order, suggesting the house special, Koran fish, instead. The mini fridge worked, but it had nothing in it, not even bottled water for the night. There was no iron or room garbage bin, and the free Wi-Fi was very weak and slow.
