We were disappointed this time after a much better stay two seasons ago, when the staff were excellent and breakfast was varied, tasty, and served on the roof with a sea view. The new team let us down. No one spoke English, and the staff spoke only Albanian, so we couldn’t communicate. Breakfast was now just solid, not nearly worth what we paid: it lacked variety and taste, came in the hallway by reception, and the roof wasn’t open. While we ate, they were mowing the grass and making noise around us because the hotel still wasn’t properly ready for guests and the season. Getting into the parking lot was badly organized too. We had to go through a ramp and a busy pedestrian area, then move the planters ourselves with a forklift because no one came to help us get the car through. The staff and organization really disappointed us. There were good things about the room: it was clean and tidy, with an excellent bathroom and a large terrace. The hotel was close to the beach, just 100m from the sea.

My family was terrified by the cockroaches coming through holes, and the bathroom always smelled foul. The place itself is fine, but the bathrooms were disgusting and nothing felt clean.

The food was the standout for me, incredibly delicious and made from fresh ingredients, with quality like top world hotels. The kitchen deserves special mention. The people were lovely and always smiling, and they’re what makes this place so valuable. I visited before the season, when it was quiet, with a nice, big beach. My room was spacious, with a nice bathroom and a big balcony overlooking the sea. Fishta Hotel is a lovely place to rest alone or with family. When the season begins, you’ll find all kinds of attractions.

Breakfast was the best I’ve had in Albania, with fresh food, a big range of choices, and everything delicious. Our room had a sea view, plenty of space, and was clean, with beds that felt like heaven. The kids loved it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay in Velipoja!

The location was ideal, just steps from the beach, and the balcony had a beautiful ocean view. My modern room was spacious and clean, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was superb, with a big breakfast and freshly squeezed orange juice included in room service every morning. I just got back from Velipoja, and Fishta Hotel impressed me more than I expected. I can’t wait to return to this delightful little paradise!
