Hotel Arda

We stayed from 5/8 to 10/8. The owner told us the rate was €50 per person per night and said it included everything. But when we tried to get water from the fridge that same day, staff said we weren't all inclusive. Owner Fatbardha then said we hadn't paid for that, even though she'd assured us just hours earlier that we were fully included. Looking at the payment, I saw she'd written five nights as requested, then crossed it out and changed it to four. She gave us no receipt, so there was no proof of payment. She also told us to say we'd paid €60 per person if other guests asked, which made it seem like she charged others more for the same rooms. When we challenged her, Fatbardha couldn't keep her story straight. The bathroom was in awful condition, and the food was cold, inedible, and, as we saw it, leftovers from the previous day. The air conditioning was switched off while we were out, despite us leaving it on, so the rooms were too hot when we got back. The owner even argued with my children. I felt she was taking advantage of the lack of receipts to cheat guests, so if you have to stay here, keep a record of every payment in case Fatbardha claims you haven't paid. I found the alleged cheating so obvious that I reported the business to Albania's Economic Crimes Department. I have relatives who work there, which made it easy to report, and I expect action soon. I'd encourage anyone else who's had a bad experience here to file a similar report. From Ismet nga Tropoja, (çobani i dhijeve) EDIT: The owner says this is the wrong hotel. I've attached pictures showing that it is the right one and that I was inside. To me, that only adds to the impression that the owners are scammers.
