Hotel Holiday Velipoje

I’m torn about this place, so here are the good and bad parts. I wouldn’t really recommend staying here. There’s a pool, cafeteria, music, and some rooms are nice, depending on which one you get. The staff weren’t great, though. Some were teenagers and seemed unprofessional, including at reception and among the waiters. Their English wasn’t good. The restaurant is on the fourth floor, but the lift only fits three people. I waited as long as 20 minutes to get up because there weren’t enough seats in the restaurant. The hotel has two buildings, one old and one new, and only one part of it is nice. If you end up in the old building, you pay the same price, and people across the hotel can see you showering through the windows. There’s no privacy, which was the worst part for me. The food was cold and basic, served in small portions. The dessert or soup was always the same. Towels had stains, and the pool didn’t seem healthy or hygienic, with a bleach-like smell from the chlorine and other substances. They played loud music at midnight and 1 AM, even though people were tired from the beach and trying to sleep. There were lots of older guests, which is fine unless you’re young and looking to have fun. Parking was very limited, and I think 90% of the Google Maps photos are fake. That’s my honest take, especially since the hotel already has bad reviews.

The staff did little to make us feel comfortable. They weren’t friendly or helpful, and the lack of professionalism and customer care made the atmosphere unpleasant. The food also fell well short of what I expected for both taste and quality. I left very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this place.

They told us there were no other rooms available, but we were lied to about that. In the end, all four of us were put in one apartment, with no privacy at all, and the whole stay felt uncomfortable. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

A good option if you want to stay near the beach and have meals included. Breakfast was awesome, and dinner was good too apart from a few dishes. They made probably the best pizzas I’ve had here so far, and the staff were friendly and quick. The floor was a bit sandy, so the rooms need better carpeting or at least a more thorough clean. The bathroom wasn’t the best, but it was okay.
