Flamingo Hotel

The rooms were spacious and really clean, and the hospitality made my time in Vlorë a blast. The owner was so lovely and caring, and the staff treated me like family. I felt at home and didn't want to leave. She even drove me to the boat port, about 15-20 minutes away, then picked me up when I returned. I feel very indebted to them. I'll stay here whenever I'm in vlore, and recommend it to anyone visiting for true Albania Hospitality.

The room we were given was half the size of what we booked, with no bathtub and no sea-view balcony, even though our Booking.com reservation was for two nights in a specific 60m² room with both. At first the welcome seemed friendly, but when I calmly explained the mismatch to the staff member who helped us, she was dismissive and condescending. I think she said her name was Jenny or Xheni when I asked. Before we'd even seen the room, she had already said she'd give us a different, better one the next day. That raised red flags because she seemed to know the room wasn't what we had booked. She didn't apologize or take responsibility, and stayed passive-aggressive. First she blamed Booking.com, then admitted it had happened to other guests before. It made it seem the hotel knowingly misleads people. It was 00:30, and her only offer was, “OK, I’ll cancel it.” Where were we supposed to go then? Her handling of it was unprofessional and disrespectful, making an already frustrating situation worse and falling short of what guests should expect from a hotel. The way we were treated was disgraceful and completely ruined the start of our trip. I strongly advise against booking here.

The staff were very friendly and forthcoming, and we had a good breakfast. Our room was nice, clean, and big. There was a small pool, though the location was too far from the beach.

We spent a lot of time by the pool with my friends. It was beautifully designed and impeccably maintained, a lovely place to relax and make memories. Our room also had a breathtaking view, like waking up to a postcard each morning, and the hotel had a tranquil atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The staff made the stay especially lovely. Suela and Dona were warm and clearly wanted us to have a good time. They offered local recommendations, helped with requests, and chatted with us in a friendly way. We felt valued. The whole experience at Flamingo Hotel exceeded what we expected, and we could really unwind and feel looked after. I wholeheartedly recommend it for a memorable, rejuvenating getaway.
