Luckyshine Hostel

The owners were fabulous during my first year settling in Albania. They accommodated my request for a private space with a verandah and helped me through those first few days. They’re around all the time, but still give you room and freedom to feel at home. The kitchen is clean and homely, with an outdoor area for chatting or having a drink with a few friends. The building looks like a massive block of flats and doesn’t have signage yet, as it’s brand new. Inside, though, it’s very new, spacious, and clean. There’s a 1am curfew to lock the premises for guest safety and privacy, and they accommodate people who are out enjoying the nightlife along Lungomare. It’s centrally located, with banks, shops, and markets within a five-minute walk. You won’t get lost if you can use Google Maps. It’s easy to reach from either bus terminal, and locals are efficient and clear when you need directions. I felt safe and had enough privacy to rest well. All the best, LUCKY SHINE!

It was very peaceful while I was there, with few other guests around. The owners are nice, and it’s a repurposed apartment building. Close to the Main Street, it seems like the best option in Vlore.

The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. They put me in the 'best' room they had, and the location was nice.

Good value overall. The beds, though, made quite a bit of noise and weren’t very comfortable.
