Even if you’re not staying at Hotel Bacelli, the restaurant is worth a visit. The setting is peaceful, with lovely views of the surrounding pines, and the stone and wood interior feels warm and authentic. The service was attentive and genuinely friendly, more like being welcomed into a traditional Korçan home than treated as a customer. I especially liked the lakror në saç, with its traditional thin layers and crispy finish, and the slow-roasted meats were perfectly seasoned and wonderfully tender. The menu celebrates local Voskopojë flavors, with dishes that taste home-cooked and use fresh mountain ingredients. It’s a great place for a relaxed, lingering lunch or dinner after exploring the village’s ancient churches, and I’d highly recommend it for traditional food in a serene, timeless setting.

We had a pleasant stay and will definitely come back next time I’m in Voskpoje. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. One of our rooms had a fireplace. Recommended.

The owner was awesome and caring, and made my family and me feel like family when we sat near him. His wife, sons and dad all looked after us and served the most delicious traditional Albanian food. Can’t wait to return to this beautiful country side hotel/restaurant.

We visited in May on work days, and there were no other people at the hotel, so we could enjoy the quiet and the place to ourselves. Hotel Bacelli is family run by the parents and sons. It has a warm, relaxing feel, is easy to find, and is very close to the village center. The rooms are clean and spacious. The view is OK, but the nature outside is astonishing. There are churches everywhere, though some are closed, so check when you can visit. The countryside invites you out for walks that can last for hours. We did that in the rain, so imagine what it’s like on a sunny day. The food is traditional and tasty, and there’s a rich selection. Breakfast was just perfect, with my favorite doughnuts, honey and cheese. We tried some of the dishes, and I’d suggest trying TRAHANA, a special Albanian breakfast dish. You can drink the water here, so there’s no need to buy it. I highly recommend the place. There are sometimes power cuts in the village, but they have a generator, so no worries. Bring an electric light if you need one at night, and check the weather before visiting, because it may surprise you!
