Mini House Hostel

We stayed here on 23 Oct and found the room small but decent, with comfortable beds and enough blankets and towels. There’s a kettle for making tea or coffee. The shower hose had weak water pressure, though the toilet was fine. The owners were friendly and helpful. There’s no private parking, so we left our motorcycles in front of the minimart, where security cameras were watching.

We liked our stay so much that we added another night. The owners are lovely, the rooms are comfortable, and there’s a decent lounge for guests. A convenience store is downstairs. Sanahin’s location is fantastic if that’s where you want to be, though it’s high up a mountain, so getting there means taking the #3 bus up the cliffside. The Mikoyan Brothers Museum is an easy walk and worth a visit. Thanks!

The hostel has comfortable beds, a sitting room with free tea and coffee, and friendly owners who run the shop downstairs. It’s a good affordable choice in Sanahin, which sits at the top of the gorge, with Alaverdi below. The area is good for hiking between the monasteries, though there are very few places to eat up here. There’s one bathroom shared by three bedrooms. To reach the border, take the number 3 bus down to Alaverdi bus station at 8am, then catch the bus, I think it’s 437, to the border. Ours came around 8.45am. There’s a bakery near the station. The owners don’t really speak English, but translation helps.

We had a private room with three twin beds, and it was really cute. There’s no central heating, but in winter the host plugged in a heater for us and it worked fine. The shower gets hot, and the kitchen and dining area are adorable. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts are super kind. Can’t wait to come back!
