Tufenkian Old Dilijan Complex

We liked how close it was to the village center, just an easy walk away. The room was roomy and very clean, and the inside and outside both had a warm, cozy feel. There’s also a winery across from the hotel that dates back to 1870. We really enjoyed it.

We tried the restaurant’s stews and thought they were excellent. The street itself is a pleasant place to wander, with a relaxed feel and a mix of a hotel, restaurant, craft workshops, and souvenir shops in old Dilijan.

The staff were so kind when an unexpected fourth person joined our group, even though we’d booked a room for three. They found a way to make it work. We stayed just one night while traveling outside Yerevan, and this ended up being our favorite stop. The room was comfortable, the views were great, and Dilijan is charming. Breakfast was delicious, and it was a treat to sample all the different foods.

We had a great stay. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you get a balcony, you might not want to leave it. There’s no AC or fan, though, so with the windows open the street noise can get a bit loud.
