The price I paid through an online booking agency was between £13.50-£15.50, and for that amount the value was decent. Breakfast was included and good, the economy room was fine, and housekeeping offered fresh towels, slippers, and bathroom amenities every day. Those staff members were very polite. There seemed to be a pool and sauna, but nobody mentioned them or anything else about the hotel. The general atmosphere felt unpleasant, and I wouldn’t stay again, though a few nights might suit some people. Friendliness matters a lot in hospitality. The main reception staff, apart from the younger man, seemed miserable and unfriendly throughout my 10-day stay. I extended by another 5 days to focus on online administration. I might have given 5/5 if they’d been polite and helpful, but they never smiled and acted as though I was an unwanted guest in their own home. That was how the whole stay felt. The WiFi was strangely terrible and barely worked for most of my stay, though perhaps that was because I had a corner economy room. The shower basin was also blocked most of the time, and the heating didn’t really work in the middle of winter, so the room would be too cold for most people. Still, I liked the room. Its sleeping area is on a mezzanine reached by very steep stairs, which felt cosy and private but is unsuitable for most people and quite dangerous. The ensuite was new and adequate despite the drainage problem, and there always seemed to be hot water. There was a clothes rail, sofa, side table, and TV.
