Hotel Agasi

In beautiful Odzun, this guest house is a lovely way to get a genuine feel for Lori Region. Amalia is a really warm host, and the produce comes from their own garden.

The first time we visited, we were shocked by how warm and cozy the place felt. It was only 500 metres from the ancient temple, breakfast was great, and Amalya and Agasya were incredibly kind. We were the first visitors of the year. Sadly, our second visit was a very different experience. We came in the evening, and when I called about the price, Amalia said it would be 8000dr because we’d stayed before and had even made some commercial for their otel. We slept in a dorm for four, which wasn’t very comfortable for a couple, even though they had other rooms with two beds and a kitchen. In the morning we ate breakfast in the yard. I can’t say Amalia’s relative was very kind to us. There were lots of flies because of the animals, including huge flies in the toilet. After resting in the room, we went to pay and the woman said breakfast would cost another 2000dr. That surprised us, since the only price we’d been given was 8000 for everything. We don’t like this kind of business in a family guesthouse. The rooms are beside cars and a garage, with so many tools around that it feels like a factory 🏭. Not nice or comfortable. We don’t recommend this place.

The garden feels like heaven, and the rooms were clean. Everyone was friendly, too. It’s an amazing place near Odzun Cathedral. Highly recommended.

Grandmother is doing her utmost, but she seems to be the only one. The place is basic and not what I expected from a guesthouse.
