Hotel Kambuz

The balcony facing the beach was lovely, and the room we got was nice. Breakfast was the letdown, most of it came out cold and it was pretty average. We booked through Booking.com, and the location has plenty to do nearby with a scenic lake around. Reception and the rooms are upstairs on the second floor, so you do have to climb steps. At night it was so quiet it felt a bit like a horror movie, as if we were the only guests there. I felt uneasy and called the hotel team late using the number from booking.com. They replied quickly and reassured me, which helped. The hotel is cozy and, despite those small concerns, felt worth the price.

The place itself was comfortable, interesting, and nicely decorated. But we were ignored by the staff and never even got a menu, so we left. Charging 3000 amd just to enter feels like a terrible business decision. I wouldn't recommend it.

We just wanted some appetizers and drinks with our family, but once they realized we weren't ordering full meals, the attitude changed. The waitress rudely asked if we weren't going to eat, then told us we couldn't stay longer than an hour because of other reservations. Getting a few beers and fries took over 30 minutes, and nobody came over when we were ready to pay, so we had to go inside. The bill was 13,000 AMD. My brother handed over 20,000, and the waitress asked for smaller bills. I gave her 10,000 and 5,000. She took them and asked the cashier for 2,000 in change, then gave me only 1,000 back, claiming the 10,000 I'd handed her was actually 1,000. I know I gave her a 10,000 bill, which is bigger than a 1,000 bill. We stopped in expecting snacks and drinks and left feeling badly treated. There are better places to spend your time and money. This was really disappointing.
