The rooms were freezing, and there was no heating in the hotel despite the terrible weather. When I asked the staff, they said nothing could be done. The service was awful, and I felt frustrated and helpless. If you're coming with family or children, be careful, the hotel is very cold.

We booked through Agoda, but at the lobby the staff said they couldn't see the payment and wanted us to pay again. We were left waiting there for an hour with our sick baby, who had a fever and was throwing up. We called the company in Dubai, and the booking showed in the system. We were so frustrated that we booked another hotel. Only then did he come over with a key, saying it was showing now. They saw our baby was ill but stayed quiet while we left for the other hotel, making excuses to get us to stay. Bad hotel and service. As first-time visitors to Armenia, we didn't expect this.

I've returned to this hotel many times over the past few years, and I generally like it. It's close to the forest, has lovely views, and the prices are affordable. There's room for improvement, of course, but for what they charge I don't think it's bad.

A short walk from the cable car made it easy to explore the area and take in the mountain views. Aurora Resort was clean and comfortable, with a peaceful feel, friendly staff, and good service overall. We had a great stay, especially if you're planning to use the cable car.
