The location was good, and the girl at reception was helpful. But the toilets smelled very bad and weren’t clean, and the kitchen didn’t have enough room for all the guests. We got the impression that many people actually live in this hostel, with fewer travelers than the other reviews might suggest. The AC in the girls’ room didn’t work properly and was very noisy at night, so we couldn’t sleep well. Not the best time in Yerevan.
When I arrived, they were overbooked and sent me to another hostel for a night. Reception was okay, though the staff seemed a little unfriendly. The housekeeper was really strange: one time she waved me away and said, “you check out today, go, go,” even though I was staying one more night. The toilet was a bit dirty, and the bathroom was quite dirty and seemed broken. Breakfast wasn’t worth waiting for, so eat out or buy groceries and cook. Be careful around the housekeepers.
A cozy, nice hostel on the top floor, with great staff. The entrance has a code lock, so you may need directions. We got the code from the CK office on the right, and the two red numbers on the lock were the right combination. We did have a broken shower, with only cold water.
For a hostel, this is one of the best in Yerevan, with facilities close by. Northern Avenue and Republic Square are nearby, the supermarket is right across the street, and clubs are all around. The supervisor, Siddiq, is a wonderful, friendly person who really cares, and he makes nice Indian food with love and care.
This is a strange place and doesn’t feel like a regular travelers’ hostel. Lots of people stay long term, cook all day, and make noise until at least 2 a.m. Everything seems to be leaking here.
