Hotel Benefice

The location is a bit industrial, but the rooms were cleaner and tidier than I expected. The staff are nice, and the place has a homey feel.

May, 2024 The hotel itself is nicely put together, with good quality and a lot of potential. There are plenty of shops nearby, and the metro is a 10-12 minute walk away. My arrival was a mess. I got there from the airport around 4am in the rain. The night manager confirmed my reservation, then, after my driver had left, quietly told me he couldn’t check me in because my room was flooded. He said he’d called, but my phone was off while I was on the plane. He hadn’t sent a text or message here either. He offered me coffee and a place to sit while we waited in case another guest left early, and said he could change the bed himself. I’d barely slept in almost a day, so I declined and called other hotels. Luckily, I found a room not too far away. The employee just shrugged and went back to sitting on the couch, then asked me to cancel the booking on booking myself. I did check in the next day because I had a separate reservation, and my friends had booked two more rooms. With so many of us, we didn’t look for another hotel. The rooms probably had been flooded: two of the three we used smelled like a swamp. There was no compensation for the cancelled booking, or even an apology. I wish we’d cancelled all our reservations. The hotel itself is good, but neither we nor our friends will return.

We stayed for one night with family in September 2023. The rooms were spacious and nicely refurbished, with a modern feel and a good bathroom. Breakfast had a decent selection, mostly savory, with no pastries such as croissants. This was also the only hotel we stayed at in Armenia with a coffee machine, which was a real plus for proper coffee. Good value for money.

The location was convenient, and the room was cleaned whenever I came back from the city. It’s a clean, new place, and everyone was nice and quick to help. I needed change for the taxi, and the receptionist kindly sorted that out. I enjoyed my stay.
