Rafael Hostel

The price was very reasonable, and everything was neat. The location was perfect and the staff very friendly. My complaints: it’s on the 6th floor with no elevator, and the WiFi wasn’t very useful. Still, I was pretty satisfied. They kept my baggage while I went south on my trip, and on my last day my train wasn’t until 9:30, so they let me stay in the common area after checkout. Thank you so much!

The mattress was quite uncomfortable, and climbing to the 6th floor without an elevator gets tiring, though you could call it exercise. The hallway WiFi was strong but weaker in our room, which was at the far end of the corridor, so understandable. The hall also has comfy seating. The location was excellent, close to most of the places we wanted to see, with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful, and arranged a great tour to Garni and Gerghad for a good price. For what it offered, it was very cheap.

I spent two months in Armenia, and this was the best place to stay. The staff are friendly, and it felt like home, even better. Thanks, my friends, for a good time. I’ll miss you.

We got great value, and everyone in our 12-bed dorm was really respectful. This was a surprisingly clean, friendly hostel, the best I’ve visited in a decade.
