Diamante Hotel

We had a terrible stay. My friend, who was the bride, and I didn’t have a good experience. The room we were first given had no air conditioning, and after we asked for another, they moved us to another room without it as well. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the TV in the room was broken too. For what we paid per night, the quality was really poor. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. For a four-star hotel in Luanda, it’s a good choice: it’s next to the Presidente, costs much less, and has similar standards.

The rooms are okay, the hotel is clean, and the staff are friendly. The restaurant was a disaster, though. My agency booked the room and usually covers all services, but here they said I couldn’t get room service unless I paid extra on the spot, so I had to go down to eat. Lunch took an hour. For dinner I waited two hours: the salad took an hour and a half, then the main dish arrived half an hour later, and it was the wrong order. I waited longer just to get fries and eggs because I didn’t want to wait again for the right dish. I’m definitely not coming back. I’d tell clients to avoid the restaurant unless they’re prepared to wait a very long time. I waited two hours for that food.
