Hotel Presidente Luanda

The food was tasty and there was a good range to choose from. It’s a really good hotel in Luanda, with service at a very high level and staff who were friendly and polite. I recommend it.

The buffet food was all nice, especially the sushi, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There’s a terrace bar, plus food, gym, and spa facilities. The staff were very good. Bar service was a little slow at times, but I had a pleasant stay for a couple of nights.

The location is hard to beat, right in central Luanda with a beautiful view of Luanda Bay. It works well for business or leisure, especially if you need quick access to government offices or the port. My room was clean, comfortable, well maintained, and had a stunning sea view. Wi-Fi was reliable, and there was a minibar and safe, but I was surprised there was no complimentary tea, coffee, or bottled water at this price. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of continental and local choices, and the staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help. Restaurant service could be slow during busy hours, though. The rates are high compared with similar hotels in other countries, and the value for money could be better, though that seems common in Luanda. Hotel Presidente is a reliable, comfortable option with solid amenities, particularly for business travelers who want to be centrally located. Just expect to pay a bit more than you might have thought.

The gym is quite good, and the rooms and restaurant are okay. It’s a decent hotel in a good location, though a bit overpriced and outdated. Service is moderate, and the coffee quality is low.
