Hotel Boutique Sofia Soberana

We keep coming back to Sofia Soberana, this must be our sixth or seventh visit. The rooms are amazing, the staff know us by name and already know what we want for breakfast. With only a dozen suites, it stays quiet, and there’s never a wait for the elevator. The WiFi is fast, the air conditioning is cold, and the downtown location is perfect. We always feel safe here and know we’ll be looked after. The front desk is ready to help with anything, whether that’s extra towels or pillows or a suggestion for the best pizza in town. We love this hotel and can recommend it to anyone visiting Bahia Blanca. We won’t stay anywhere else there.

The room code gets you into both the hotel and your own room, which makes access straightforward. At check-in, you choose what you want for breakfast and when, then they bring it to your room each morning. The rooms are well laid out and roomy, with space for two adults, or two adults and two children in one room. There’s air conditioning for summer and heat for winter. A great option in Bahia Blanca, close to downtown and restaurants.

We stayed in the “Venice” room for a few days in December while visiting family, and the carnival masks were a lovely touch. The hotel is within walking distance of the city center, restaurants, and historic buildings, but the streets outside didn’t disturb us at all. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. We had to work in the room during the day, so they brought food up without hesitation and arranged housekeeping around our schedule. They also took care with hygiene during Covid, including temperature checks and alcohol gel and disinfectant. The boutique style combines a high standard with a private, family-like feel. It was a pleasant surprise, since hotels in South America can often be either big and well-built but past their best, or small and charming but lacking in quality. If you’re in Bahia Blanca for work or a personal visit, staying at Sofia Soberana should make for a very enjoyable stay.

The suites are gorgeous and furnished beautifully, with a real home-away-from-home feel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking works perfectly for motos, though it’s pretty small for cars. They could use one or two luggage carts. EXCEPTIONAL
