Alaska Hostel

Since the new owners took over, the place has improved a lot compared with the older reviews. The coffee and breakfast were the best I had in Argentina, and they bake their own bread every day. The staff are lovely and know the area really well, and they speak perfect English. The building is good, and the WiFi was enough for work in the main area. It got a bit patchy in the downstairs rooms, but still worked well enough. They also rent bikes for riding the Circuito.

The bathroom was awful and dirty for much of the day, and the hostel was noisy. With those issues, it felt expensive. The breakfast was very good, easily the highlight, and the sofa area was comfortable when people weren’t sleeping there. The guys at reception were really friendly, apart from the woman on the evening shift.

The rooms were okay and the bathrooms really good, but the atmosphere made this one of the most fun hostel stays we’ve had. Santiago put on an incredible Asado and even showed us some parilla skills. Great food, a lovely evening and such warm hospitality. It felt like a real experience, not just a hostal. Thanks so much, greetings from Holland.

A really cozy, social place, and I liked being outside the city center, right by Playa Bonita. The owners and staff were super nice and held an asado for guests. The beds and pillows were new and comfortable, and the shower was hot with amazing pressure. Just a note, older reviews were from before the previous owners made the upgrades.
