It was good value, though the main house didn't seem to match the description of what I'd booked. The kitchen was good, but sleeping in a child's room, surrounded by their things and a racing car duvet, felt odd. I had the huge family home to myself, with dozens of family photos everywhere. It was as if everyone had only just left before I arrived, perhaps beamed up by aliens.

Once we figured out the setup, the place was great. The upstairs is some kind of apartment, while downstairs seems to be shared space in a house. Check-in was confusing: nothing outside made it obvious this was accommodation, and several people came to help without introducing themselves. It's at the far edge of town, so a little isolated, though you can walk to things.

We stayed one night, arriving as a group at different times. The services matched what was advertised, but the hostess wasn't very welcoming, so I can't recommend the place. The service could be warmer.

The bathroom was very clean, though showers were limited to seven minutes. The kitchen was okay but could have been cleaner, and the room looked tidy and clean, except it was noticeable that the bed linens hadn't been changed. The host welcomed us well. The rental is part of her home, above the garage, which gives you some privacy. It faces a lake, but there wasn't much activity or anywhere nearby. I'd recommend staying here only if there's no other option, based on the value for money.
