Really good hostel for the price. Clean, nice beds, great location, and Robinson is a legend who'll help with whatever you need. Highly recommend it!!

Robinson was easily the most caring host I met on my trip through South America. He's attentive and kind, and even though I don't speak Spanish, he found ways to get other people to help with what I needed. He lent me a SUBE for a bike tour and showed me how to take the bus to the airport. When I bought a beer at the hostel, he gave me nuts and food to go with it. The location is great, the room and bed were clean, and there was always hot water.

Alpino is in an extremely convenient location, yet it has a quiet, respectful vibe and not too many rooms. For me, the best part was the staff. They were incredibly helpful despite my poor Spanish, from pointing me to the right bus and nearby shops and restaurants to making sure I received a very important package from the U.S. while I was staying there. The price was affordable for the area, 300 pesos for a dorm bed in January 2016. Standard amenities included breakfast with mate and coffee, free Wi-Fi, a comfy couch to relax on, a computer you could play music from, and a storage closet for your pack. Beer and other drinks were sold from a fridge at reasonable prices.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the hostel itself was spotless. Robinson was easygoing and very helpful. Highly recommended.
