Elfaltul Hotel

The hotel is comfortable, offers excellent value, and the staff are all great and very friendly. The one issue, which others mention too and is completely outside the hotel’s control, is the stairs at the entrance. There are 82 steps up to the hotel door.

The rooms and mattresses were impeccable, and the staff provided excellent service. Mr. Jose deserves 1000 points: the chef never repeated a menu, and he prepared everything himself. The food was the best thing about the hotel, absolutely exquisite. In summer, though, they should install a ceiling fan. The heat was painful until the early hours, at least on the second floor where we were. Even so, the hotel is excellent, and we’ll definitely return.

Half board was terrible, and the hotel was filthy. There was no disinfectant smell, and it looked like they only cleaned with water. The bathtub had mold, hair covered the fleece blanket, and the comforter was dirty. The infrastructure was a disaster, though the entrance and hallways were the only decent parts. There was nobody in charge to complain to. The food tasted spoiled, apparently because of poor-quality products, and the portions were tiny. I absolutely do not recommend it. Better to stay home than travel to this hotel.

I was very satisfied with this affordable, lovely place. The value for money is excellent, the view is great, and the service is very friendly. Best of all, the food is fantastic.
