Hotel Ecomax

Still cheap and convenient in fall, and the place itself is very clean, with a great view, location, and building. I loved it. The WiFi connection was terrible, though, which brought it down to 4/5. I stayed five nights, and breakfast was the same every day, so now it’s a 3/5. Minus, the beds are too small for the twin rooms.

The lobby has an amazing view, and the reception staff were lovely, but we left disappointed. I think only floors 1-4 have been renovated, and unfortunately our room hadn't been. It looked nothing like the online photos, with broken bathroom tiles, a dirty, torn carpet, and a strange mattress. Breakfast had the usual Argentinian pastries and drinks, and the coffee was strong and tasty. But staff kept running out of coffee, water, glasses, and forks all in the same day, and didn't sort it out until guests asked. They also charge for hot water (!).

Water was a constant problem. Some days there was no cold water, and on others there was no water at all. The rooms weren't clean, and the Wi-Fi was poor.

The beds were great and the view was amazing, but it was loud and noisy. Cleaning definitely isn't their strong point. Mixed feelings for sure.
