Dinner was the standout for me. The fish and pasta were especially memorable, with creative flavors and premium ingredients, and the meal felt comparable to a Michelin-level restaurant. The gym and spa were excellent too. I loved the new Technogym equipment, and upstairs there are two Japanese-style hot tubs overlooking the lake, a warm pool, and a peaceful Buddha lounge with a dry sauna. We had a spacious suite with a living room, dining area, bedroom, bathroom, and whirlpool tub. The bathroom wall paint looked a little dated, but everything else was beautifully finished. As a Marriott Titanium member, I was warmly recognized and upgraded to a suite with sweeping lake views. The staff throughout the hotel were gracious, attentive, and happy to offer tips. Breakfast was simple and had what we needed, though a little more flair would have matched the rest of the experience. The lobby is stylish, calm, and inviting, and the hotel has been beautifully refreshed with a sleek modern design. It’s a five-minute walk to the town center and local shops, and an easy drive to the surrounding lakes. Special thanks to Nicolás, the general manager, for the thoughtful birthday cake and his generosity.

Our room, #817, had a beautiful panoramic view of the water, mountains, and part of town. The king bed was very comfortable, with a good choice of pillows. There was a sitting area with a small table, desk space but no chair, a safe in the closet, bathrobes, toiletries, and thick, fluffy towels. FreeWiFi worked well. There was also a fridge, kettle with coffee and tea, and complimentary water. More lighting around the desk would have helped. Laundry was available for a fee and was efficient. The location is great, very close to the town center. Reception was okay. We had a bit of a language issue, but the Translator app helped. There are lots of comfortable places to sit in the lobby, and a bar and restaurant on the main floor. The spa is on the 9th floor and open 08:00-22:00. The person at spa reception was helpful, arranged visits, and provided towels. Still, it was frustrating to need reservations for some simple things. The relaxation area was gorgeous and peaceful, with windows that make the most of the view, ivory leather chaise loungers, and light refreshments. There are men’s and women’s saunas, but only one was working, so we had to share. The Hydro Therapy Pool (jacuzzi) was empty and had to be scheduled so they could fill and heat it. On the rooftop there’s an indoor heated pool and lounge area, plus two Japanese wooden hot tubs outside that hold maybe three or four people. No one really told us that reservations were needed for the tubs, which was disappointing after a long day walking. We had massages at the spa, 90 minutes for 102,000 Argentinian pesos. The masseuse was nice but didn’t really understand English. I asked for a relaxation massage focused on my back, but she spent over 40 minutes on my feet and legs, even after I asked several times for her to focus on my back. He requested a sports massage, and I gave him a heads-up about what direction to give the masseuse. Spa rating: 3 out of 5. I tried calling room service at extensions 201 and 223, but one number didn’t answer or sent me to the other. I went downstairs and was referred from the restaurant to the bar and back to the restaurant. I wanted to order a dish from the menu that I’d eaten just an hour earlier in the restaurant. The bar and restaurant staff discussed how it should come for Room Service, which was the absolute bare minimum of what had been served at my table. Finally, a server who recognized me said, “ahhhh okay we can do!” They gave me a somewhat reasonable delivery estimate, but the food arrived about ten minutes after I got back to our room. It was very good, like in the restaurant. They tried. Brazarte Restaurant had fresh food and good service. Breakfast was basic and okay. Restaurant and Room Service rating: 4 out of 5. WiFi rating: 4 out of 5.

I’d stay here again because the location is so convenient and the staff are great. My room and the lobby were nice, though the hotel itself feels old and needs a boost. Breakfast was average.

This was the worst hotel of our trip in Argentina, and the worst Marriott Group hotel experience I’ve had as a Platinum Member. I guess there are much better hotels in Bariloche than the Sheraton. It was very noisy, there was no AC, and opening the windows meant getting kitchen smoke from the chimneys of the restaurants next to Sheraton. The hotel staff were arrogant, and some even lied, except for the restaurant chef. When I stayed a second time, they told me the Welcome Bonus was only once a month. As a Platinum Member, I explained the rules, but apparently the manager had ordered them to give it only once. That isn’t correct. Even if they don’t offer it, they have to pay 100 UsD compensation. The receptionist was very rude and angry that I kept insisting.

I used points for my three-night stay at the Sheraton Bariloche hotel. I’m a gold lifetime member. The breakfast was good, and the lobby, pool, and workout center have all been beautifully upgraded. At first I was very disappointed with my room, but Agostina at the front desk sorted out the problem. She handled it so professionally and was outstanding. The Sheraton is lucky to have her.
