06 Soho Suites Bed & Breakfast

The room felt damp, the street was noisy, and the beds were really uncomfortable, so we left early. I’d avoid this place. They insisted on cash in US dollars or Euros, as though those were local currencies or easy to get from ATMs. In the end we had to pay through Western Union. It seemed like tax evasion, though that’s obviously my impression. They refused card payment and bank transfer, then accused us of trying not to pay. Pretty ironic.

The location is amazing, and the place felt safe and was super clean. The owners were always around to help, and they even made breakfast for guests. The price is more than fair, so I’d definitely come back on another trip to Buenos Aires. My room did get a little noisy at times from cars and buses on the street late at night, so I wouldn’t call it perfect. Still, I highly recommend the hostel.

We’ll be back. The service from Andrea and the owners was excellent, and the location is prime. Our lovely period room was on the first floor, second floor in US/UK terms, and had air conditioning, a balcony, and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was basic but enough: coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, croissants, toast, jams, dulce de leche, and butter.

Andrea was so friendly and provided outstanding service. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and clean, with hot water, air conditioning, and everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Breakfast is included. I definitely recommend it and will return.
