This isn’t a hotel, and the experience was terrible. We arrived at noon and spent two hours minding our luggage at the door while waiting for reception. We were given just one key for two people. The room door was broken and wouldn’t lock from the outside, so we couldn’t leave. WhatsApp was the only contact option they provided, and for hours we tried to explain the problem to someone who didn’t understand basic English. Eventually they moved us to another room, but it hadn’t been cleaned. The front door key didn’t work, so we had to wait for other residents to help us get in. The next day they moved us back to the first room, costing us a few more hours, and promised a 20% discount that we never received. On day 4, at night, a piece of brick fell from the 7m high ceiling, landing 50cm from my head and smashing on the floor. We left the keys on the unattended reception desk and left. We’re now going to report the property to the building inspection and/or customer protection authorities. I believe the huge number of excellent reviews are fake. Only half of the second floor is open, with 10 rooms, while the other half and the first floor are being renovated. So even if none of this happened to other guests, the property couldn’t have generated so many reviews......
The room was comfortable and modern, and I had a very good experience overall. The one real problem came when I accidentally left my key card inside. With my phone, wallet, money, and everything else locked in the room, I had no way to get back in. Thankfully, there wasn't a baby in there too, or it could have been catastrophic. I know I was the one without the card, but there should be someone on hand to help guests sort out situations like that.
The staff were very friendly, and the place was in good shape. The bathroom sink's cold water tap in our room didn't work, though. The amenities are basic, with a look that mixes convent-like austerity and modern touches.
They call it an apartment, but it's really a comfortable room with hardly any amenities. There isn't even a coffee maker, and for the price, I don't think it's good value.
The place and the rooms were fine. I just didn't understand why we had to go somewhere else to pick up the keys. It's nearby, but after arriving, you want to get settled, not run around.
