I almost fell on the unsupported stairs in my top-floor room. There was only one bathroom for all the guests, and the staircases were so narrow my shoulders got stuck the first time I went up. The bunk beds had no ladder for reaching the top bunk. This place is a health hazard.

The service was good, and there’s a terrace with a grill. It’s a comfortable place and good value for money, well located if you want to be near the city center and San Telmo.

I think they may do this on purpose, so be careful. I’d booked a private single room with a shared bathroom, but the receptionist told me on arrival that it wasn’t available and she didn’t know how it had been booked. After reading the Google reviews, I suspected a scam when they immediately offered a different private room with its own bathroom and a double bed, at a higher price. I refused to pay what she first asked because I’d chosen the other room at its quoted price. Since it was nighttime, rainy, and cold, I stayed and paid a bit more, though I got the price lowered by pointing out that their booking problem wasn’t my fault.

Booking.com didn’t show my reservation in the app, but they welcomed me anyway. The place was very clean and welcoming.
