We had the basic double, and the room was small, though nicely decorated. The location is great, and the place smelled delicious. Breakfast was very basic, and there’s no bar or comfortable shared sitting area. We’d told them in advance we were arriving very early and were told that would be okay, but checking in turned out to be really difficult. Once we got access, the staff were friendly.
The location is the best thing about this place. The room is tiny and doesn’t feel like a four-star hotel to me, more like a three-star one. It needs maintenance, breakfast is poor, and the old air conditioner is extremely noisy. There’s no room service, and the door key is terrible. The staff are very friendly, but I don’t think it’s worth the price.
The neighbourhood is safe and easy to explore on foot, with loads of great restaurants and shops. The rooms have been updated, and the common areas smell fresh from the candles. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, from suggesting places to visit nearby to calling a taxi.
The location is great, but the room was so cramped and gloomy. It smelled musty, the windows wouldn't open, and there wasn't even a chair or little table. There was nowhere to set down or open a suitcase. Breakfast starts at 8 AM and has very little variety. For the price, the value just isn't there. You can find much better hotels nearby.
The rooms are lovely and clean, and the location is great, but there were two serious problems. The air conditioning is so loud it could wake you in the night. Also, after 8 PM the main entrance is locked, so you have to buzz security to get in. Twice they left the intercom phone off the hook, and I was stuck outside at 1 AM for almost an hour before they noticed and it worked again.
