City Express Plus By Marriott Buenos Aires Palermo

The staff were the highlight of our 10-day stay. Olivia and Catalina were incredibly kind and helpful, and it was nice to see some familiar faces. The rest of the team brought good energy and seemed passionate about their work. Housekeeping were kind too, and we came back to a clean room each day after exploring BA. The location in Palermo is hard to beat if you want to feel like a local. There are so many great restaurants and cafes nearby, and most of the places we wanted to visit were close. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The hotel is new, so the sheets and towels are new, and the water pressure was great with plenty of hot water. Breakfast even had decaf coffee, unlike most places in BA. The lobby is cozy, has bathrooms, and the front desk safely stored our bags when we arrived before check-in and before a late flight. As visitors from the US and Marriott members, the rooms and hotel didn't meet the Marriott standards we're used to. The staff clearly tried hard to make up for the problems, and we appreciated that. The shower drained poorly, so we stood in a little pool of water. Rainy days brought a few drops through the ceiling onto the bed. The safe didn't work, and the balcony doors didn't lock. There was no hair dryer. We only got one clean full-size towel per day for two people, so I had to ask for another each day. The gym AC didn't circulate enough for a comfortable workout. There was construction noise, though it wasn't as bad on the top floor, and it didn't seem like the floors were vacuumed during housekeeping visits. We felt comfortable during our stay, but the hotel seems to have opened in a rush and still has work to do to meet Marriott's standards. Rooting for y'all!

What a letdown. My boyfriend and I picked this hotel for a work trip because the location seemed decent and the reviews were better than average. The room amenities were a mess. There was no hairdryer, so I had to show up to a meeting with wet hair, and the safe didn't work for valuables either. The one good thing was the reception and breakfast staff. Olivia and Catalina were patient, kind, and incredibly helpful. I felt bad for them, because they were so welcoming while clearly dealing with disorganized management. I made a point of remembering their names.

Breakfast was varied and very good quality, and the hotel had a calm feel even though it sits among bars, restaurants, and other places to go in Palermo Soho. The rooms were modern, comfortable, well-equipped, and very clean. From arrival onward, the staff were friendly, attentive, and ready to help. I had an amazing stay and would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, a good location, and great service. A perfect 10!
