Dazzler by Wyndham Buenos Aires Polo

The staff were so kind and attentive. After our long flight from Europe, they let us into our room at 10:00, which we really appreciated. The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully set up, with large windows, a sofa, and plenty of luggage space. The bed was very comfortable, and the hotel felt quiet and relaxing. Breakfast had a good selection of sweets and some fresh fruit, but very few hot dishes. The bathroom was the main issue: it only had a ceiling shower head and no toilet brush. I recommend this hotel.

The location is outdated, the rooms are sparse, and the beds are old. There’s barely any furniture, and no actual couch, just two very uncomfortable armchairs. The TV had nothing for tourists, only Spanish and nothing in English, which made six days pretty boring. The carpet in the hall was moist and dirty, the hallways were ridiculously hot, and the pool was full of gnats. The shower screen moved and let water go everywhere, while the shower head flopped down and wouldn’t stay up. Noise was unbearable: we heard the washer and dryer, everything through the thin walls, and every neighborhood dog barking. Nobody smiled, they all looked depressed, and only one staff member was helpful. There was no thought put into the design. Don’t pay attention to all the four star reviews, they’re all local guides in the business. Stay at the Sofitel. Staff are great.

The neighborhood is lovely and calm. Our room was huge, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. They were so kind about letting us check in early. We were exhausted after the long flight, and the reception staff were really attentive and nice.

Everyone was incredibly kind, including the room service staff. We ordered a snack and it took an hour to arrive, so they gave it to us for free to apologize. The hotel is well located and close to everything, with super spacious, clean bedrooms. Breakfast runs from 7 to 12, which meant we didn't have to get up early, and checkout at 12 was great too. Our flight arrived at 9AM even though check-in was 2PM, but they only asked us to wait 30 minutes while they cleaned a room, and didn't charge for the early check-in. I also had to email them lots of times to change days, and they were always ready to help. Definitely coming back.
