Efe Hotel & Cowork

We got in very late from the Buenos Aires airport, but the staff still made us feel welcome. The central location was convenient, and the rooms were good. Breakfast was a highlight: lovely pastries, strong coffee, fruit, yoghurt, a cooked meal, and tasty grapefruit juice. The breakfast staff deserve a special mention for being friendly, attentive, and efficient. We liked the hotel enough that we're planning to stay another six nights when we return to BA this evening.

I liked the street view from my room, especially the sunshine and looking down at the street and across the buildings. Sitting in the chair by the window was lovely. The rooms were cute and well designed, and the lobby felt cozy when I wanted to work or sit with a friend. There was also a coworking space. Staff were friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed the decent breakfast every day. The bedding was the main problem. I felt like the cleaning ladies dragged fresh sheets across the floor and picked up every bit of hair. I had to ask several times to have the bed changed or move rooms because there was hair all over and even inside what was supposed to be a clean bed. Pretty gross. Staff did help get it cleaned again and change rooms, so my issue was with the cleaning service. The half shower also let water spill out and soak the floor. At night it got really warm because the AC wasn't an option, and opening the windows meant listening to traffic. Better cleaning would make a big difference.

The breakfast was very good, but there was nowhere to unpack since the room had no closet or drawers. The shower was slippery, and the ceiling was so low that my hair kept getting wet.

The location was pretty good, and the staff who helped with the bags were excellent. The hotel itself was nice, but the front desk guy wasn't friendly or helpful. When I asked where to find a converter, he just told me to buy one. There was only one USB connection in the room, and all the plugs were old Argentinean ones. It was the only hotel on our two week trip without wall plugs adapted for European plugs. I also asked where to get stamps and whether there was a post office nearby, and both times he said he didn't know. He didn't seem interested in finding a solution.
