The rooftop is lovely, and the location is perfect. It's also very cheap, so it might be okay for a few days, but there were some serious problems during our stay. On the final two days there was no water at all, so I couldn't use the taps, showers, or toilets. I asked for a discount and was refused, even though I obviously wouldn't have booked and paid for a place with no running water. Some staff were super nice, especially the woman from Brazil and the cleaners, while others were completely rude. The showers did have warm water when it was available, but the bathrooms were gross, often had no soap or toilet paper, and the shower curtains were moldy. The men's bathroom had just one working toilet upstairs for the whole hostel, since the other toilet and urinal were out of service. The rooms were okay for the price, but I found a couple of bugs on the bed and woke up with bites a few times. The duvets and pillows need updating. It was a faff getting the aircon going, though it worked great after that. The kitchen kept smelling of gas. I was told that was normal, which is worrying, and I was hesitant to use the hob. Someone really needs to look into it.

The only hostel I stayed at in BA that added all these fees the others didn't charge. I was overcharged, and there was just one men's toilet for the entire building. Disgusting.

I put in the wrong check-in date by accident, so I couldn't stay on the 12th as planned because I'd paid for the 11th. Matt at the front desk, who said he was the manager, told me there were no rooms for the 12th. Yet I could still book two female rooms on Hostel World and two on booking.com. Matt said it was his job to add and remove rooms on those sites, but they were still listed. That left me feeling personally discriminated against. If Matt had taken those rooms down, I wouldn't have felt that way. It was unacceptable, unprofessional, and rude. He sat behind the desk rolling his eyes and looking bored, and seemed to escalate things instead of trying to calm the situation. A little empathy, or an empathetic explanation, would have helped. As a business owner, I wouldn't want an employee who seemed not to care about guests or customer service. Either Matt was lying about there being no rooms, or he was wasting travelers' time and money by letting them book, travel to the hostel, and then hear there are no dorms available. I have a photo of his attitude attached.

The food was awful, the customer service at the bar was bad, and the prices were too high. Worst restaurant in Argentina, maybe the world. I won't come back to granados resto bar, and I'd tell everyone to avoid eating here.

I felt safer once I was moved to a private room, and the hostel was otherwise fine. But my laptop was stolen from the shared room, and getting help afterward made the stay tiring. I know I should have stored it better, but the response was slow. I asked to see the security footage and waited hours, only to get it the next day after I'd already filed a police report. The staff were helpful if I kept following up, and different reception staff handled it differently, with some seeming more efficient than others. I expected quicker cooperation.
