Hostel Telmotango

After paying for two nights, we went into the room and immediately knew we’d made a terrible mistake. The sheets were dirty, the pillows had white stains, there were cigarettes on the floor and toilet paper and rubbish under the bed. The walls had yellow sticky marks. The doors weren’t sealed, so it was really cold, and neither the room nor bathroom had a trashcan. There was no soap. Everything meant for the bed was dirty, so we covered ourselves with our clothes. We left early the next morning because we didn’t want to spend more time there. The lock jammed as we tried to get out, but after five minutes we opened it. We’d paid for an extra night and asked for the money back. The owner, an older lady who seemed lost in time and space, said she couldn’t refund it because she had to pay someone to clean the place. That person seemed fictional. The place smelled of urine, with lots of cats roaming around. When we arrived, the man who greeted us seemed high on marijuana, and the person we’d been told to call beforehand didn’t answer. I’d avoid this place unless you’re looking for a bad experience.
