Hotel Astoria

I had to switch rooms four times because of unsanitary conditions. Mold and mildew were in the bathrooms of the first two rooms. The third had no window and an air conditioner that seemed from the last century. It was very noisy, but without it the heat was unbearable. The fourth room was fine. Everything was old and basic, but at least I could sleep.

The staff were friendly, and the place was very clean. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a central spot in Buenos Aires.

The location was a real plus, near sights like Obelisk, Pink House, Lavalle Street, and Florida Street. There was a market, snack bar, and restaurant on the same block, plus lots of other stores within 400mts. The concierges were kind and friendly, and the place was simple and quaint. Breakfast was simple too, which suited me since I like simple food. Everything was always very clean. As a Brazilian, I found the bathroom and room cleaning better than at lots of hotels I've stayed in. We also didn't notice any noise that made it hard to rest. There were a couple of drawbacks: the bathroom door had no key, and the Wi-Fi connection wasn't strong enough and sometimes dropped. Even with those issues, I'd recommend this hotel.

I’ve stayed here before and found it worth the price. The hotel is friendly, secure, and reasonably priced.
