Hotel Athos

The location is what makes this place worthwhile. You can walk to many places, and buses run along the avenue. The price is very affordable if, like me, you mainly need somewhere to sleep between walks around town. The staff are really nice, though don't expect much from breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I liked the place enough to extend my stay. After visiting USHUAIA, I came back.

We were treated really well by the staff across all three shifts. The rooms were very comfortable, the facilities were in perfect condition, and there was a refrigerator in the room. The hotel was in a very nice location, 18 blocks from the Obelisk, with subway and bus access. Honestly, the whole staff was excellent.

The breakfast was deplorable. There was only coffee and milk, and when I asked for water for tea, they had to bring it from the back. The croissants were from the day before. At one point a kitchen staff member came up with a container of croissants and tossed them on top of the ones already on the tray. Very unprofessional. They also had yogurt and cornflakes. Our rooms were tiny, and the door hit the bed in the first one and the nightstand in the second. We asked to move because there was no ventilation. The first room's window faced an internal hallway and wouldn't open. In the next room, the window looked onto an enclosed internal space where people walked through, so there was still no airflow. The bathroom's glass door didn't reach the frame, so you could see the person sitting on the toilet. The exhaust fan was really noisy and came on with the light, so there was no way to turn it off separately. The terrace didn't look like the one in the promotional photo. We also had to walk through the dining room to reach the second room, which was incredibly awkward while everyone was having lunch, I assume they were hotel employees. I don't recommend this place.
