Lovely Silvia keeps the place clean and stocked, even though the room and bathroom are a bit worn from the building's age. It's an old building with a traditional lift, and the lift works fine. The location is right in the heart of the city, within an easy walk of Broadway shows, restaurants, bakeries, souvenir shops, tourist sights, and pretty much everything. I'd happily come back to this tiny old hotel to get a sense of what it was like in its past glory.

EPA! I've known this hotel since the '90's, and came back recently to find things had changed. The old Spanish gent is no longer at the helm, but this quiet, family-owned place still has the same spirit. It's conveniently near the Obelisk of Buenos Aires, a national historic monument. Head the other way along Avenida Corrientes and you'll find Palacio de la Papa Frita, a culinary institution in the capital. San Telmo and La Boca are close by, too!

A beautiful traditional building in a central part of the city, and great value. Our room was big and clean, with high ceilings and a lovely balcony. Wi-Fi and hot water, too.
