Hotel Chemin

The location is good, and although the hotel is old, it still works fine. Customer service didn’t feel like a priority, though. An airport strike made me arrive a day late for my five-day stay. I got in at 4AM and had coffee and bread for breakfast, but they counted that as a full day. They also put me in a street-facing room where you could hear everything, even though a quieter room was available. It felt like they just wanted to make money.

The location felt a little sketchy, and breakfast was basically all carbohydrates with an apple. Apart from that, everything was great.

Mauro, the general manager, spent a lot of time with us since we booked just as Chemin was opening. He talked us through the hotel's vision and shared tips for Buenos Aires that made the trip much better than I expected. Service was great. I chose this place for its location and its beautiful construction and atmosphere, which gave me a classic, wealthy Buenos Aires feeling. Everything was clean, and breakfast was very good. You can walk to everything, and for the price I don’t think you’ll find anything like it. I don’t think you’ll regret staying here.

Mauro, who runs the place, was really nice and helpful, and gave me tips on places to visit nearby. The hotel is on the third floor of an old building, which felt a bit odd when I first arrived, but once inside I was impressed by the old-style furniture and atmosphere. It’s quite a new hotel, with a good location, friendly staff, and a fair price. I’ll definitely come back.
