Great location, and the café/bar in the lobby has great service and good prices. But this is an apartment, not a hotel: no housekeeping, no concierge, nada, just security, who are great. The toilet malfunctioned twice, there were roaches, and two elevators were out of service.
Mrs. Alba welcomed us warmly and hosted us. She gave us directions and even took us to a place for dinner. We’ll always be grateful to her!
The location is beautiful, right in the center and in front of the obelisk, and a big part of my rating comes from that. I’m emphasizing that I stayed in Centro Porteño. But the service this “hotel” provides leaves a lot to be desired, since it’s more of an apartment than a hotel. I’m not saying it’s a disaster, but it’s much worse. The elevators stopped working several times, the air conditioning DOESN’T WORK, and the parking, while not bad, is quite narrow and hard to maneuver in. The girl helping us got mixed up and said our space was on the 7th basement level, space 133. The problem wasn’t the parking itself, but that she clearly had no idea where she worked and sent us down and back up 12 floors. Space 133 was actually on the second basement level. Then she wouldn’t give us the code, and we had to call her about 50 times before we could get into our room. A disaster! I don’t know how she’s qualified for that job. We had several organizational problems, and the schedules we “arranged” with her were completely disrespectful. It was a terrible experience. I don’t recommend it, at least not in the city center. Porteño. The damp smell is impressive.
The standout here is the location. It used to be a hotel, but now it seems mostly ownerless; there’s still a bar and security.
