We stayed four days, and this hotel really let us down. My daughter and I bought two very expensive soccer tickets through them. They work with FUTBAL TRIP, whose contact is BRUNO, and we were promised that someone would look after us. Instead, one problem followed another, and neither FUTBAL Trip nor the hotel paid any attention to us. They even deleted all our communications, seemingly to leave no trace or evidence. The person at reception, CHRISTIAN, was a total failure, and the hotel acted very unprofessionally. Shame on this organization. BRUNO and CHRISTIAN should be ashamed of themselves. I would never stay here again or support them.

We waited 2.5 hours past the 3 pm check-in before insisting on an upgrade so we could get into a room, because ours wasn’t ready when we arrived. The hotel is old and dated, and there was a strange plumbing smell in the bathroom. All the TV channels were in Espanyol. Some staff were officious and rude. The younger employees seemed embarrassed and unsure how to deal with our frustration. If you’re staying in Buenos Aires, The Hilton was far better in every way.

The breakfast employees made for an unpleasant start to the day. They followed guests around asking for room numbers while we were getting food and challenged us in front of other people. They were rude and impolite. The bar food wasn’t good and was expensive: two coffees, one water, and a small flat pizza cost USD 27. The hotel itself is nice, but its key system is very outdated and doesn’t work properly. The elevators are old and slow, and the hallways get very hot without A/C.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the old hotel seemed very well maintained. I really enjoyed my stay. My only small gripe is that the elevators are old and slow.
