Don’t stay here. It’s a health risk. There was mold everywhere, and we started feeling ill after two nights, so we left instead of staying the six nights we’d planned. We had allergic symptoms, trouble breathing, a sore throat, headache, stomach trouble, and couldn’t sleep. After spending a few hours at another hostel, we felt much better, so we’re sure it wasn’t a cold. We lost the money for the other four nights, but that seemed better than risking our health. When we arrived, there was a strange smell. Our private room was very warm and smelled damp, though the hostel looked fairly clean at first. We later searched the walls and found lots of wet patches all over the house. The host said she knew about them and that a pipe had burst. We think the roof may be leaking, since there are no upper rooms. In our view, it was irresponsible to keep renting rooms with wet walls and mold. The host didn’t seem interested in our feedback at all. Horrible.

The rooms are a bit small, but fine for backpacking. The host was lovely, the interior courtyard was nicely designed, and breakfast plus coffee and tea were provided.

The owner’s service was excellent, and it’s a safe, quiet place in an ideal spot near the main square. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

A very comfortable room with towels provided, and the shower is small but works fine. Service was attentive and the location excellent. I recommend it for the value.

Cheap as it was, that doesn’t excuse how neglected and careless the place felt. It was damp, unhygienic, and dark. We had to ask for towels because none were provided, and they only brought bath towels. The blanket I got from a very dirty closet was unusable. There was no heating, and the manager smoked in the courtyard beside the rooms, filling the space with smoke. No individual soap or shampoo either. We were afraid to use the bathroom in case it flooded, and it was far too small. I wouldn’t return or recommend it. A shame.
